About the App

This is a basic Windows and Linux Mint App for Church CRM Management. It uses SQLite as the database engine with simple features, which are as follows:
1. Capturing Members and recording their Birthdays, Wedding Anniversaries, and recording if they have been baptised etc.
2. Linking Spouses and Children to one another to have a better overview of family structures
3. Linking members to customisable places of serving and ministry
4. Comment recording to help pastors understand context.
5. Custom Reminder list (for example, birthdays of non-members)
6. Excel Export of Birthday and Anniversary Reminders
7. Filtering of members by various fields, e.g. Married = true, and exporting the filtered list to Excel

The app is written in Lazarus Object Pascal and compiled on Windows and compiled on Linux Mint. The Debian and Windows installers can be found below.

End-User License Agreement (EULA) for ARJ Church CRM

This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you, the User (either an individual or a single entity), and the Author, Rev. AR Jansen, regarding your use of the ARJ Church CRM software application.

By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, do not install or use the Software.

1. Definitions
A. Author: Refers to Rev. AR Jansen.
B. Software: Refers to ARJ Church CRM, including any associated documentation, updates, and accompanying files.
C. Purpose: Refers to the non-commercial administrative and ministry operations of a Christian church or ministry.
2. License Grant
The Author hereby grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to use the Software solely for the Purpose described in Section 1.

3. Intellectual Property and Source Code
The Software is licensed, not sold. This EULA grants you only the right to use the compiled, object-code form of the Software (the binary).
A. Ownership: The Author retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights.
B. Source Code: The Author does not provide, and is under no obligation to provide, the source code for the Software.
C. Copyright & Trademarks: The name "ARJ Church CRM" and its associated logo are the copyrighted and proprietary property of the Author. You may not use the Software name or logo to endorse or promote derivative products without the express written permission of the Author.

4. Restrictions on Use
You are expressly prohibited from, and shall not permit any third party to:
A. Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software for financial gain or commercial profit.
B. Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code of the Software.
C. Use the Software for any purpose other than the Purpose specified in Section 1.

5. Maintenance and Support
The Author provides no guarantees of maintenance, updates, or support for the Software. Any future changes, updates, or bug fixes will be shared freely with users when, and if, time and resources allow, solely at the discretion of the Author.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty (Software "As Is")
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Author does not guarantee that the functions contained in the Software will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, COSTS, OR EXPENSES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF THE AUTHOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights under this EULA will terminate automatically without notice from the Author if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this EULA. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies of the Software in your possession.

Only a fool says "Happy Birthday Jesus" on Christmas day

I know it is a harsh thing to say that “ a fool says, "Happy Birthday Jesus" on Christmas day ”, and I am one of those fools as well. But as I was doing theological reflection and praying, I came to realise that it is foolish to Box Jesus in something so absolutely silliness as “Happy Birthday”. And the reality is that how often have we heard the silly statement on the 25th of December, where people would say or post “ Happy Birthday Jesus ”.
